Volumetric weight means the overall size of a parcel which is generally used for commercial freight transport. Volumetric weight depends on the volume (size) of the shipment. To calculate volumetric weight, measure the length, width, and height of the box and then multiply the results to obtain the cubic size of your package.
In case of package weight, actual or volumetric weight whichever is higher in terms of weight will be charged for shipping. The formula for volumetric shipment is (Length x Width x Height) in CMS, divided by 5000.
Often, the cost of shipping is dictated by the volumetric weight of your parcel rather than the actual weight. This is because the shipping company’s pricing is calculated based on whichever is the greater out of the volumetric weight and the actual weight.
How is volumetric weight calculated?

Volumetric weight can be calculated by multiplying the box length, breadth, and height. You can calculate the volumetric weight in centimeters. If you are using centimeters then divide the result by 5000. The resulting figure represents the volumetric weight of your parcel.

FOB stands for Free on Board. FOB is an indicator that shows when ownership of a package is transferred from a seller to the buyer. However, in international shipping, FOB stands for “name of originating port”. This shows the transportation of the goods and the cost of loading to the port of shipment.

It means that the seller must pay the costs and freight necessary to bring the goods to a named port of destination and must also procure marine insurance against the buyer’s risk or loss to the goods during the carriage. Description: C&F stands for cost and freight and is always stated as a C&F port of importation.

Ex works is a term used in shipping arrangements where the seller is only required to deliver goods at a predetermined location, and the buyer bears responsibility for shipping costs.

Yes. However we are not an international removal company. We can help you ship but we can’t help you load. An empty container can be delivered to your premises and you will be responsible for loading it properly.

Door-to-Door delivery is a full service where we arrange to pick up the shipment from its location of origin to its destination, right to the specified address. This commonly refers to the freight charges. Charges on top of Door-to-Door can be exempt of offloading, customs, and port charges.
